Bass Andrew Munn studied at Bard College and the Juilliard School with Dawn Upshaw and Sanford Sylvan. He appears in leading roles and in premieres at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Munich Biennale, the Salzburg State Theater, the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music and Carnegie Hall. The Berlin-Oxford LiedFest 2021 showcased his work as a poet and singer in Berlin Verses, his English adaptations of Hanns Eisler's settings of Bertolt Brecht's poems in his Hollywood Songbook. From 2006 to 2014 he was an activist organizer in the climate justice movement in the United States. He has received scholarships from the Tanglewood Music Institute, the Aspen Music Festival and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
Julia Modes studied art and visual history, philosophy and creative writing in
Berlin, Melbourne and New York. In 2019 she organized with the curator collective Kleine
Humboldt Galerie organized and curated the exhibition festival unselect in Berlin
Main exhibition unnatural. She taught research, project and undergraduate seminars at the
Humboldt University in Berlin, as well as at the Université de Friborg and at the university
for design in Karlsruhe. In her dissertation she examines violence in the oeuvre of the
American artist Cy Twombly.
